Food Sharing Governance Landscape Analysis in CULTIVATE hub locations: Milan
Description
The document deepens the governance landscape of the Food Sharing Initiatives of Milan, focusing on the Food Waste Recovery and Redistribution (FWR), Community-Based Urban Agriculture (CBUA) and Social Solidarity Economy (SSE) initiatives. The research starts with an analysis of the sociocultural and environmental background of the city, the policy and regulatory frameworks that influence initiatives, and the possible funding sources. Local actors from the public and private sectors and the FSIs have also been interviewed to learn about the barriers and enablers for the FSIs. Finally, the report suggests a set of recommendations to improve food sharing for the public administrations, the FSIs, and the private sectors. This report is part of the Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Programme and UKRI ‘Cultivate: Co-Designing Food Sharing Innovation for Resilience’ under grant agreement No 101083377, DOI: https://doi.org/10.3030/101083377.
