D3.9 GEAM version 3 questionnaire

  • 1. Notus

Description

This report outlines the development of the new versions of the Gender Equality Audit and
Monitoring (GEAM) tool, building upon the core questionnaire "GEAM version 2" developed by
the ACT project.

The main objective was to make the GEAM more inclusive for two target groups: non-academic
staff within the R&I private sector and other R&I institutions (administrative staff, technicians,
non-academic researchers), and Higher Education students.
The outcomes are two core questionnaires: the “GEAM version 3 for employees” and the
“GEAM version 1 for students”.

The development of these questionnaires was based on a combination of top-down and
bottom-up approaches. The task group (Notus, FUOC and UJ) identified main issues and
areas of potential improvement, organised meetings with other INSPIRE researchers to
discuss diverse aspects and drafted the preliminary questionnaires and guidelines for
discussion in the focus groups. Two focus groups were organised and their feedback was used
to further refine the questionnaires. They were then tested in two pilots and the results were
incorporated in the final versions.
