Core Mission: The Academy provides public recognition for individuals and organizations advancing Europe's open source communities through four strategic pillars: Excellence and Achievement, Business and Impact, Advocacy and Awareness, and Skills and Education. The core goal of the Academy is to provide Public Recognition of those individuals and organisations elevating, representing, advocating for, and contributing to the advancement of the European Open Source Software and Hardware communities, as well as the ecosystem of Open Technologies more broadly.
Through its activities, the Academy strives to amplify, promote, and reward outstanding contributions to the Open Source Software and Hardware communities across Europe, elevating them for recognition by an esteemed audience of policymakers, industry, and society-at-large, thereafter serving as a hub for advocacy, awareness, education, and outreach related to the aforementioned topics.
