Evaluation of the RItrainPlus Course Programme
Authors/Creators
Description
The report summarizes the review of the RItrainPLUS training courses offered in 2023 and 2024. It provides comprehensive analysis based on registration data, course evaluations, as well as a post-course survey and interview study, to assess how participants judged the courses, why they selected them, and which issues emerged when comparing the goals of RItrainPLUS with participants’ expectations.
Overall, the courses achieved a high level of participant satisfaction, although some organizational issues were noted. This indicates that the program was successful for those who attended. At a strategic level, however, the program did not only attract the core community of managers of research infrastructures and core facilities, but also a substantial number of operators and other associated staff. This raises structural questions for future iterations: should the program broaden its scope or become more selective regarding participants and offer more tailored content? The data analyzed suggests that both approaches have potential to strengthen the research infrastructure landscape.
