Description
This AEIDL policy brief examines how existing EU policies contribute to behavioural change for more climate-smart agricultural practices. In the context of the upcoming post-2027 Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), the brief analyses 23 selected regulations and their compliance with the three key principles of Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA): productivity, adaptation, and mitigation.
Drawing on findings from the Horizon Europe BEATLES project and linked to the ongoing Strategic Dialogue on the Future of EU Agriculture, the brief also identifies barriers and enablers to integrating CSA at the EU level. It aims to support policymakers by turning research into actionable recommendations for the next CAP reform and broader agri-food systems.
