PREP4BLUE D4.3: Report on FINAL VERSION of Mission ontology and semantic network and guidance for use
Description
Within the Prep4Blue project, Fraunhofer Austria (FhA) is leading task 4.1, which includes the development of the Mission Ocean Ecosystem (MOE) ontology as well of the semantic network for all Mission activities.
The developed ontology defines relevant concepts and their relations to the Mission's goals and objectives, such as research projects, citizen science, stakeholders, funding, and solutions. This formalisation has been used to build a semantic network from various data sources.
The final version targeting developers can be accessed using the link https://prep4blue.ddd.fraunhofer.at:7473/browser/.
For credentials, please contact rene.berndt@fraunhofer.at. After login the semantic network of the Mission Ocean Ecosystem can be explored using the Neo4j browser. A detailed description of how to use the Neo4j Browser can be found HERE1.
The MOE semantic network contains currently:
• 71,928 research projects
• 96,863 stakeholders
• 10,730 classification terms
• 49 engagement methods
• 37 Solutions/Knowledge output
• 2,669,909 relations between the above elements
This document replaces deliverable D4.1 Report on INITIAL VERSION of Mission ontology and semantic network and guidance for use. Part 1 contains minor modifications, while Part 2 has been updated to reflect the current state. Part 3: Guidance: Using the semantic network, includes an example demonstrating the application of the semantic network in a real-life scenario, it demonstrates supporting stakeholder selection in the Pathway to Impact processes.
