VITALISE D2.9 Final version of user requirements

Description

The VITALISE ICT tools should provide convenient access to researchers. Therefore, the
development of such tools should be based on well established user requirements. Within VITALISE,
we have adopted an iterative and agile spiral model approach to ensure rapid feedback and gradual
improvements. This document presents the User requirements that have been collected until M24
and that have provided insights and guidance to the developers of the ICT tools, under WP3.
Requirements were explored on the topic curation and access of the datasets, user interface (UI)
expectations, and more generally the expected functionality of the tools. In order to achieve eventual
user acceptance, a multimethod approach was followed, tailoring the requirement elicitation methods
to part of the ICT tool suite. These methods included a number of workshops, a literature review,
ICT tools demonstrations, and live experimentation.
This document is the final version of the ICT tools user requirements and provides an overview of
the requirements that are already implemented in the systems or are planned to be delivered until
the end of the project. This deliverable provides an overview of the final system for all VITALISE ICT
tools from the user perspective. It presents information about the Panel Management tool (the
PaneLab), the AccelUp system for the uptake of Living Lab services by the Research and Innovation
community, the RAI system for data analysis and sharing that will support also VITALISE Virtual
Access and the newly added Sensors’ Integration system that is built to support the day-to-day
research activities and data acquisition in Living Labs. It also includes information about the
methodology used for requirement elicitation.
