Description

The document outlines the E-RIHS Enlargement Strategy, submitted as deliverable D4.4 within the E-RIHS IP project, developed as part of Task 4.2 E-RIHS enlargement strategy” in collaboration with Task 2.2. Supporting the establishment of E-RIHS National Nodes”, Task 6.3 “Strengthening E-RIHS cooperation on the EU scene and beyond” and Enlargement Board established in the framework of the project.

The core content reflects the outcomes of fruitful discussions with the Enlargement Board members on different forms of participation and collaboration with E-RIHS ERIC, which included Member States and Associated Countries, Third Countries, as well as individual organisations. The needs of countries or organisations for E-RIHS ERIC assistance in their process to establish the collaboration with E-RIHS ERIC, either as full Members, Observers or participation of individual organisations set the ground of the Enlargement Strategy. It comprises description of different roles within the E-RIHS ERIC, such as the role of the Enlargement Board, Director General, Central Hub, Committee of National Nodes and Heritage Science Academy. Tailored communication and dissemination activities will further enlarge the chances of E-RIHS ERIC for the efficient global growth.

The document guides E-RIHS on its way of becoming a global research infrastructure.
