Description

CONVINCE is a European initiative focused on advancing the autonomy of robots, with a key objective of developing and validating cognitive deliberation capabilities in autonomous systems. To support this goal, a quantitative survey was conducted to gather insights into the preferences and challenges faced by robotic developers when building deliberation capabilities for autonomous systems.

The survey was conducted between January and April 2024, receiving a total of 91 responses, of which 60 were fully completed. The results of the survey highlight current trends and reveal areas for future improvement, providing valuable guidance for the development of the CONVINCE open-source software toolchain. This toolchain is designed to enable developers to create application-specific deliberation systems, ultimately enhancing the functionality and effectiveness of autonomous robots.
