Recommendations to increase the socio-economic impact of the Future Circular Collider for Member States
- 1. London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE)
Description
This document builds on the substantial and sound evidence of the socio-economic benefits of investing in large Research Infrastructures produced in the frame of the FCC study between 2014 and 2024. It harnesses insights from academic research and successful policy implementations to propose a series of targeted and concrete policy recommendations. These are intended for CERN, its Member States and their subnational regions to assure that they can fully capitalise on a future particle collider investment.
This recommendation report focuses on three key pathways through which individual participating countries can generate socio-economic benefits and thus increase their returns of investments:
1. Industry benefits
2. Training benefits
3. Cultural benefits
