Description

HSBooster.eu organised its second Deep-Dive Workshop Series, focusing on "AI Standardisation: Challenges & Opportunities on Advancing Equity & Ethics in AI," on 4 July 2024 from 11:00 to 12:30 CEST. This workshop series was organised in collaboration with two HSBooster’s EPE experts in AI, which entail that the newest circular economy initiatives in Europe must demand that nearly all products sold in the EU comply with a wide range of sustainability requirements that ensure transparency about all stages of a product’s life cycle.

AI ethics involves addressing the moral and societal implications of artificial intelligence technologies. Standardisation plays a crucial role in this domain by establishing guidelines and frameworks to ensure that AI systems are developed, deployed, and used in a responsible and ethical manner. Standardisation efforts focus on promoting transparency, fairness, accountability, and privacy in AI applications, ultimately aiming to mitigate potential risks and maximise the benefits of AI for society.

This workshop provides an overview of the standards already developed or being developed in AI Ethics and examples of project results, showcasing their frameworks.
