Description

This dataset was exploited within the scope of the REACT project (WP4/WP5) to provide a means for understanding the attack behaviour of UDP flooding attacks within a massive IoT environment. This dataset provide the malicious attack behaviour information based on mote 88 (edge), whilst the benign addresses the absence of attacks.
The dataset contains the packet lost, duty-cycle and the packet send period for each mote in the network topology of the simulated massive IoT network benign scenario in Cooja simulator environment.
The packet lost is obtained from the difference between the number of sent packets by each mote and the number of packets received by the server from each mote. The data is obtained from the output log file from Cooja simulation.
Duty-cycle is a metric that demonstrates the percentage of time that the network adapter is on or in sleep mode. The duty-cycle value is obtained from the powertrace values in the output log file from Cooja simulation for each mote.
Cooja and powertrace are tools provided by the Contiki 3.0 operating system [ https://github.com/contiki-os/contiki ].
Finally, the packet send period gives an average of the periodicity of sending packets from motes to the server during the simulation period. The values are obtained by calculating the average sending period of the packets by each mote.
