Upscaling the macroeconomic modeling for climate adaptation

  • 1. Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV)

Description

This Change Maker project is part of the Managing Global Governance Academy. The  main idea is to make the Academy’s participants apply the acquired knowledge and
learnings in design-thinking methodology to develop an innovative solution for a real world challenge that is given to the team by an external actor.

The challenge accepted by the team was proposed by Sebastiam Homm and Naima  Abdulle, from the GIZ project Climate Resilient Economic Development (CRED) -
Policy Advice for Climate Resilient Economic Development | Internationale Klimaschutzinitiative (IKI) (international-climate-initiative.com) -, and it was:
“How can we as a GIZ project upscale our approach on climate sensitive  macroeconomic modeling and enable emerging and developing countries to expand their own competencies required for comprehensive and transformative adaptation action?”
