Description
HSBooster.eu organised its 10th Training Session, focussing on "Terminology in Practice: Development, Dissemination, and Accessibility, and Their Impact on National Culture," on 11 June 2024 at 10:00 -11:30 CEST, with the esteemed speakers from Standards Norway, Language Council of Norway, and House of Knowledge.
Terminology is core to the communication and dissemination of results of any kind, and in particular in relation to emerging or disruptive research.
Terminology is a crucial starting point in all the research and innovation initiatives, especially those revolving around digital transformation, digitalisation or increased efficiency. The speakers will look into how terminology represents the link between emerging technology, research results from business and academia, standardisation, with a focus on a national case.
- Why and how is terminology relevant for standardisation work and how and why is it linked to national languages?
- Did you know that language is a crucial infrastructure in the society and that is important to safeguard democracy?
In this training session, you will get three perspectives on the intersection of terminology, national standardisation, national language and communication, and business. We will do that through the lenses of the Norwegian case.
