HARMLESS webinar on Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design (SSbD) for consultancy companies, SME and large industry: Demonstration of the user-friendly HARMLESS Decision Support System (DSS) with an advanced material as a case study
In May 2023, the EU H2020 project HARMLESS organised a workshop on Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design (SSbD): Advanced Materials in Product Development for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), where SME and consultancy companies were introduced to the HARMLESS approach to Safe and Sustainable Innovation in the context of Advanced Materials. On 25th April 2024 HARMLESS organised a second SSbD webinar targeted primarily to consultancy companies working in the SSbD field, but also to SMEs and large industry stakeholders in product development, to demonstrate the use of the user-friendly HARMLESS decision support system (DSS) with a case study on perovskites for automotive catalysis.
This second webinar is entitled “HARMLESS webinar on Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design (SSbD) for consultancy companies, SME and large industry: Demonstration of the user-friendly HARMLESS Decision Support System (DSS) with an advanced material as a case study”. It provided an overview of the stage-gate HARMLESS approach to SSbD of advanced materials in product development followed by an introduction to the user-friendly DSS for application of this SSbD approach. After a short presentation on perovskite for automotive catalysis, the webinar dove into a demonstration of the DSS for this case study. Towards the end of the webinar the opportunity to analyse if the HARMLESS DSS can also be applied to the participants’ materials was povided.
The workshop is primarily intended for consultancy companies working in the SSbD field for advanced (nano)materials, SMEs and large industry developing products containing advanced (nano)materials, but open to other interested parties wishing to get more insight into the HARMLESS DSS.
