Description

This article emphasizes the importance of defining models and building modular software for digital humanities tools. In particular, we address the availability of modular models for tools as a necessity to cope with the rapidly changing technological landscape that has produced a large set of short-lived tools. We propose an approach that aims to mitigate the effects of software obsolescence that leverages modular models.
