This zenodo community for the Swedish research vessel infrastructure for marine research (SWERVE) has a primary function to support the accessibility, preservation, and reuse of research data and related materials collected within the infrastructure. SWERVE is a national research infrastructure consisting of Swedish universities, governmental authorities and public research institutes that strive to create open access to research data adhering to the FAIR principles. The SWERVE community will upload data packages including relevant metadata from Swedish research vessels collecting essential oceanographic variables. There will be two different sets of data packages following each collection of data:
- Raw data packaged without any changes made, i.e. data collected/analysed/processed directly from the instrument or sensor without reformatting, standardizing or quality control. Any formatting or processing automatically made by internal instrument or sensor software qualifies as raw data.
- Formatted, Quality controlled and standardized data, i.e. data and metadata packaged with modifications made to reformat and standardize the collected data including quality controls that flags the data to inform any potential users of what the quality of the data is. This data package contains the doi link to the raw data.
