About MES-CoBraD Community
Addressing Europe's Brain Disorders Crisis
Millions of Europeans of all ages live with brain disorders that threaten their quality of life and impact the sustainability of health systems.
Objective & Scope
The Multidisciplinary Expert System for the Assessment & Management of Complex Brain Disorders (MES-CoBraD) project aims at improving diagnostic accuracy and therapeutic outcomes in people with Complex Brain Disorders (CoBraD). This covers Neurocognitive (Dementia), Sleep, and Seizure (Epilepsy) disorders, leveraging Real-World Data (RWD) from multiple clinical and consumer sources through comprehensive, cost-efficient, and fast protocols.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Experts in medicine, engineering, computer science, social health science, law, and marketing & communication across Europe are involved. These experts couple clinical information and scientific research with technical innovation in secure data-sharing platforms, artificial intelligence algorithms, and expert systems.
Impact & Innovation
MES-CoBraD focuses on harmonising and integrating the platform. It maximises individual researchers' impact through collaborative value creation and Open Science practices. This includes secure data sharing and the sharing of global expertise that would otherwise be unavailable in a single institution.
Technical Aspects
The project is committed to addressing all challenges—clinical, research, and technological—by developing the MES-CoBraD Platform and its integrated precision medicine modules. The platform will also feature a specialized MES-CoBraD Expert System, aimed at enhancing personalized medicine approaches in real-world practice.
