RECAP helps build bridges between public administrators and farmers through the use of innovative Earth Observation (EO) solutions and cost-efficient tools. RECAP contributes to the simplification and modernisation of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). Furthermore, RECAP addresses existing gaps in compliance and monitoring processes, while facilitating the translation of CAP into farming practices.
RECAP is a commercial platform that integrates satellite remote sensing and user-generated data into added value services, co-designed and co-created by public authorities, farmers and agricultural consultants. In particular, RECAP increases the efficiency and transparency of public authorities’ procedures when implementing the CAP, by enabling effective remote monitoring of farmers’ obligations through the use of open and user-generated data. RECAP also offers personalised services to farmers for their better compliance with the CAP environmental standards (Cross Compliance – CC and Greening Measures) and stimulates development of new added value services by agricultural consultants and developers who can create add-ons to the main platform and make use of the data collected.
