As described in the REACHOUT Data Management Plan each partner is is responsible for the Internal Quality Control of the new generated data. Data description is mandatory for data publication and each partner will use a common dataset description template in order to ensure interoperability of datasets.
The interoperability of data is not only possible by using common file formats and publishing procedures. Rich metadata (if needed) will be provided for any shared dataset in order to facilitate the understanding of data structure and usability. They will follow standard metadata format used in the specific field of each dataset, contributing not only to make data findable, but also highly interoperable. The list of Disciplinary Metadata provided by The Digital Curation Centre [REF.4] will be considered as the reference list of suitable metadata standards. It is accessible through the next link https://www.dcc.ac.uk/guidance/standards/metadata.
