eCREAM is a European project that involves 11 partners from 8 countries: France, Greece, Italy, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
The project's aims are to:
1) develop new technical solutions to extract reliable clinical information from structured and unstructured data contained in electronic patient files from the emergency department (ED) with the use of Natural Language Processing;
2) pilot the exploitation of the databases created in two use cases (the assessment of ED propensity to hospitalize a patient and the development of a dashboard to be used by citizens and policymakers to improve ED quality of care; and
3) FAIRify (i.e., make data Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Re-usable) the established databases for clinicians, researchers, health policymakers and citizens.
