The main objective of this MSCA project is to apply muli-omic techniques to provide new diagnostic options for aquaculture infections. To reach this overall aim, the project targets three specific objectives:
Objective 1: Characterisation of the siderophore metabolome in both infected and healthy sole fish for the identification of disease biomarkers.
Objective 2: Development of a rapid analytical method for aquaculture disease diagnostics based on siderophore biomarkers.
Objective 3: Gaining a holistic understanding of the involvement of microbial co-species in the progression of infection by connecting the microbiome and metabolome of farmed fish exposed to Vibrio anguillarum.
