Note: This community is the official Zenodo community for the EU Horizon Project "Establishing the Center for Environmental and Technology Ethics - Prague" (Grant agreement ID: 101086898, https://doi.org/10.3030/101086898). There is also another, general repository for the Center for Environmental and Technology Ethics - Prague, which can be found here.

We are the first research center in the Czech Republic that examines new ethical challenges posed by the intersection of the growing use of technologies and the current ecological problems, including climate change, loss of biodiversity, issues in Anthropocene, role of AI, and many others.

CETE-P is led by Professor Mark Coeckelbergh, one of the most prolific authors in contemporary philosophy of technology and environmental ethics. We are growing into an international research community with overreaching societal impacts.

Our center primarily engages in world-class research. Moreover, we bring together academics, NGOs, policymakers, and businesses to discuss and solve the most pressing ethical issues concerning the environment and new technologies. To achieve these goals, we organize regular workshops and forums. We also facilitate the flow of expert ethical opinions in the wider public debate through media interviews, podcasts, or public lectures.

You can learn more about our activities on our website.
