D2.5 Biomass supply chain assessment report

The supply chain assessment is based on selection of 5 focus countries within the course of SmartCHP deliverables. The countries selected are: Sweden, the Netherlands, Croatia, Romania and Greece. The feedstock selected for each country respectively: Softwood residues, export of oil scenario (not explored in this deliverable), Miscanthus, Corn stover and olive kernel wood. The report analyses the availability, price, logistics, suitability and sustainability of individual feedstock based on its VPL (virtual plant location) model that is being used to achieve tangible and close to reality scenarios.
