Extensive loss of forage diversity in social bees due to flower constancy in simulated environments
Description
Agent-based model that simulates bee colonies foraging in an environment with either 4 or 12 different food sources. Different versions of the model measures the diversity of food sources collected by colonies depending food source distribution: clustered vs. uniform in fragmented and unfragmented environments. Two different types of fragmentation are simulated.
