D4Science & Blue-Cloud: synergy factsheet

Blue-Cloud provides a cloud-based, analytical and publishing framework as a federation of computing platforms and analytical services, hosted at leading e-infrastructures, offered through an easy-to-use orchestration system to access cloud computing resources distributed at different cloud providers sites.

One of the e-infrastructures Blue-Cloud has established a collaboration with is D4Science, the e-infrastructure at the core of the Blue-Cloud VRE’s. D4Science core services are used for building and running Virtual Labs, which are VRE’s that are dedicated to specific research objectives.
