OHEJP COVRIN D1.1.1 and D1.1.2 Report on available data from SARS-CoV-2 genome detection in companion animals livestock and wildlife.

In this task, methods in use were assessed using published and unpublished comparison with focus on:

• Comparison of detection methods in different clinical animal samples (matrices)
• PCR and sequencing optimisation

Positive controls were shared among partners and ring-trials organised where necessary to compare methods.

These data include opportunistic sampling in candidate species in the wild, companion animals, in captive livestock and from experimental studies.
