real-time Simulated Open Field Environment (rtSOFE) software package
Description
This package contains software, documentation and example use cases of the real-time Simulated Open Field Environment (rtSOFE) for real-time virtual acoustics. rtSOFE can be used to simulate the acoustics of arbitrarily shaped rooms, to render it for headphone presentation (binaural rendering) or for auralization via loudspeakers (e.g. using nearest speaker mapping, VBAP, Ambisonics). rtSOFE.exe creates the respective impulse responses which are streamed to convolver.exe for auralization. The system can use real-time audio input for interactive auralization. rtSOFE can also be used in modeling pipelines to create reverberation, e.g. for applications in signal processing, auditory modeling, machine learning.
