Covid-19: de ekonomiska konsekvenserna av en epidemi

  • 1. Hanken School of Economics

Description

Like other types of disasters, epidemics also have economic consequences. Even before COVID-19, the World Economic Forum has estimated the annual economic impact of infectious diseases at 0.7 percent of global GDP, which is on a par with the impact of climate change. The purpose of this article is to take an economic view of epidemic management, as well as to investigate three local and global economic consequences of an epidemic, particularly of COVID-19.
