EVALUATION PUBLIC SUMMARY REPORT

This report presents the public summary of the evaluation results of the SMART ERA 1st Open Call for Pilots, launched on 28 August 2025 and closed on 4 November 2025 at 15:00 CET. The Call, published on the SMART ERA website and the Horizon Europe Participants Portal, received 250 submissions from across Europe, of which 225 were deemed eligible. Following a multi‑stage evaluation process—including pre‑scoring, expert assessment, and Pitching Days—88 proposals advanced to expert review, 69 scored above threshold, and 33 top‑ranked projects were invited to pitch. Ultimately, 11 pilot projects, one for each challenge, were selected for funding, with an additional 15 placed on a reserve list. Each selected project will receive €60,000 to implement innovative digital solutions tailored to specific regional needs across Europe. The report provides an overview of the evaluation process and lists all funded projects with their corresponding organizations and countries.
