  • 1. ROR icon Ghent University

Description

4th talk in our new Bioplastics Recycling Cluster Talk series of expert-led online talks, focused on How to set up cost-competitive sorting and recycling schemes for bioplastics? This event is part of a broader knowledge-sharing initiative by three research and innovation projects funded by the Circular Bio-Based Europe Joint Undertaking: ReBioCycleMoeBIOS, and PROSPER. These projects aim to develop practical and scalable solutions for bioplastic recycling — from collection to manufacturing new products.

In this talk, we spotlight the bioplastics sorting model being developed at PROSPER. Dr Wang Li, from Ghent University, will provide insights into how the model can inform bioplastic design for sustainable waste management and offer actionable timepoints for cost-effective investment in PLA sorting infrastructure.
