Description

Mid-infrared pulsed lasers, which cover the wavelength of 2-12 μm, have a lot of applications, such as spectroscopy, laser surgery, material processing and mid-infrared supercontinuum source pumping. Compared with other lasers, ~2.7 μm fiber lasers have attracted increased attention due to their advantages of high beam quality, high efficiency and compactness[2]. It’s an ideal pump source for generating supercontinuum in ZBLAN fibers and chalcogenide fibers, which can make the laser have longer wavelength and avoid the damage of chalcogenide fiber resulting from <1.55 μm pumping.
