Description

We developed tools for mapping integrated pressures, exposure, and risk, with a focus on four new climate change (CC) indices: Aerobic Growth Index, Aragonite Saturation index, Hypoxia index, and Heat Wave Hazard index. We also demonstrate some results from the Plastic, Mercury, Persistent Organic Pollutants and oil spill hazard indices. We calculated the CC indices then validated them in a small subset of sample data from existing models in the Northwest European Shelf. We then combined the indices into a multi-stressor index. We developed the evaluation framework to test the tool functionality. In this report, we present the software tools, the methodology to calculate the indices, and the evaluation framework.
