D6.3 Report on the marine thermoplastic recycling capabilities

This Deliverable 6.3 “Report on the marine thermoplastics recycling capabilities” contains the work carried out in task T6.3 Thermoplastic recycling of marine litter corresponding to WP6 Circular economy and sustainability of the MAELSTROM  project, focusing on mechanical recycling applied to marine waste collected in the
Venice Lagoon/coast and the Douro River estuary in Porto. The aim of this work has been to analyze the marine waste recovered in previous WP, select those that can be recycled and revalued in a feasible way through mechanical recycling (compounding), and obtain a plastic material with improved properties.
