D4.3 : High-speed data transport prototype

Description

The primary goal of this demonstrator is to achieve and potentially exceed 400 GbE data transfer rates for high speed data transport in radio telescope systems. The aim is to identify the most suitable technology by comparing DPDK and RDMA. In this deliverable an RDMA implementation is presented, validated in simulation, and a DPDK implementation demonstrated up to a bandwidth of 1.2Tb/s. The first version of the high speed data transport prototype, which in the future is to be integrated in the ALMA WSU IF Processor validation chain, is also presented.
