Subject: This is an interdisciplinary lesson that integrates basic principles of Biology, Language, and Social and Political Education.

Abstract: Students will explore the main food groups and the nutrients found in food. They will learn about the concept of a balanced diet and its benefits compared to junk food. Additionally, students will develop the ability to support their viewpoints with well-founded arguments.

Lesson Plan Method: The lesson employs various instructional methods, including face-to-face learning, online learning, peer learning, game-based learning, and blended learning.

Age of Students: Grade 6

Preparation Time: 30 minutes

Teaching Time: 105 minutes

Learning Objectives: By completing this lesson plan, students will be able to:

  • Activate their critical thinking and connect prior knowledge and experiences.
  • Identify the main food groups.
  • Define the nutrients present in different foods.
  • Understand the negative consequences of fast food on their physical and psychological well-being.
  • Recognize the high nutritional value of homemade food.
  • Develop a consciousness for healthy eating habits.
  • Enhance their interpersonal relationships.
  • Justify their viewpoints with logical arguments.
