Description
Destination Earth is a flagship initiative of the European Commission to develop a highly accurate digital model of the Earth to monitor and simulate natural phenomena, hazards and the related human activities. DestinE will develop and deploy a service backbone composed of computer processing, data, software, and infrastructure. The Green Deal Data Space will organize available data in services and APIs that provide high priority Digital Twin Ready Data to the DestinE data lake.
This poster explores what is the Green Deal Data Space, the concept of data space and the challenges adressed by the Green Deal Data Space. These include the ensembling of semantic interoperabily, the integrationf of OGC APIs implementations with data space connectors, the dynamic multidimensional data cubes, the integration of sensor and IoT data, the integration of private, sensitive and comercial data and the access to data using data queries.
This poster was presented during the IEEE International Geosciences and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS) 2024 from the 7 to the 12th July at the National Observatory of Athens in Greece. The IGARSS is an annual congress organized by the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society gathering more than 2500 scientists and professions in the Remote Sensing field worldwide.
