Description
This HIGH Horizons report (deliverable 2.8) describes the quantification and evaluation of thermal exposures in selected healthcare facilities in South Africa, Sweden and Zimbawe through monitoring of indoor thermal environment parameters, and through numerical simulations to assess the effects on heat exposure, sustainability, and cost of selected building design measures and projected climate change. This component of the HIGH Horizons study is linked to the health workers impact baseline assessment (deliverable 2.10) and together these reports inform the co-design and selection of health facility adaptation interventions (deliverable 3.6).
