Growth performance response of broiler chickens fed diets containing dehydrated microalgae meal up to 22 days of age in partial substitution of soybean meal
Authors/Creators
Description
Microalgae are a heterogeneous group of photosynthetic aquatic plants that utilize atmospheric CO 2 and
light energy for their metabolic activities, producing a variety of essential nutrients such as proteins and
amino acids Therefore, microalgae meal MM could be considered a sustainable alternative protein
source to the widespread use of soybean meal in poultry diets The aim of this study was to evaluate the
growth performance of broiler chickens fed diets with increasing dosages of MM Spirulina spp up to 22
d of age in partial substitution of soybean and then a common commercial basal diet up to slaughter age
