Description

This policy brief is the result of a collaboration between the research projects “AlienScenarios” and “InvasiBES ” funded by the 2017-2018 Belmont Forum and BiodivERsA joint call for research proposals, under the BiodivScen ERA-Net COFUND programme. Its content is based on a participatory process that brought together a team of researchers, policymakers, conservationists and environmental managers from different countries to explore the future management of biological invasions in Europe and provide recommendations to policy-makers. We downscaled global scenarios for biological invasions to the European level and used them to develop a guiding strategy for the long-term management of invasive alien species.
