Description

The main objective of the eCREAM project is to enable clinical research and quality of care assessment using data extracted directly from electronic health records (EHR) in emergency departments (ED). To achieve this objective we aim to develop new technical solutions to extract reliable clinical information from structured and unstructured data contained in electronic patient files and to insure that this information is available to different stakeholders (clinicians, researchers, health policymakers and citizens) following where possible the FAIR principles while respecting the European and national legislations.

This document is a first version of the consortium’s data sharing and management plan (DMP), covering ethical and legal issues. It first describes the data that will be collected and processed as part of the project and the related data flows. It then illustrates the planned strategy for making the services and databases created in the project adhere as much as possible to the FAIR principles, with particular regards to the project’s two use cases. A final part describes the steps taken to insure the correctness of the ethical and legal approach of the project.
