Description

This repository contains the code needed to produce the calcualtions and figures appearing in "Odd elasticity and topological waves in active surfaces" (PRE 2024). It contains six documents:

  • The Jupyter notebook MembraneSimulations.ipynb implements the numerical simulations appearing in Fig. 7 and the Supplementary Movies. The methodology is described in Appendix F of the manuscript. 
  • The Jupyter notebook VizualizationPrep.ipynb formats the output from MembraneSimulations.ipynb for visualization in Mathematica.
  • The Mathematica nobebook RenderingMembrane.nb renders the output prepared by MembraneSimulations.ipynb.
  • The Mathematica notebook 2023-09-18-spectra-stability-odd-plates.nb produces the data in Figs. 4 and 5.
  • The Mathematica notebook active-passive-wave.nb produces the plots in Fig. 3.
  • The Mathematica notebook figure-6.nb produces the plots in Fig. 6.
