On 21 December 2023, HSbooster.eu organised its fifth training session on Standardisation in Practice, delving into the roles of National Standardisation Bodies (NSBs) and identifying gaps in current standards. This engaging session provided a comprehensive overview of Standard Users and the Use of Standards, featuring esteemed speakers.
The HSbooster.eu Training Series on Standardisation in Practice is designed to bridge the gap between European NSBs' activities and researchers. Focused on topics relevant to researchers, these sessions aim to familiarise participants with the work of national standardisation bodies and offer insights on how NSBs can support research projects.
Barry Cox, Standards Officer, from the National Standards Authority (NSAI), specifically explains the role of NSBs using the example of the national standardisation body of Ireland – NSAI. Additionally, Dr. Sweta Malik, the recipient of the prestigious Standards4EU Young Researcher Award by CEN and CENELEC, guided us on identifying gaps in current standards.
