Description

This article describes one of the important methods for diagnosing and determining the nature and derivation of tumors, such as immunohistochemistry analysis of biopsy specimens using CK7 and TTF-1 tumor markers, the nature of their staining in primary and metastatic lung adenocarcinomas, and localization of metastatic lesions.

Research objectives. To determine the nature of CK7 and TTF-1 staining of primary and metastatic lung adenocarcinomas, as well as to establish the localisation of metastatic lesions.

Materials and research methods. Lung biopsy specimens taken from 6 patients with a histological diagnosis in the Samarkand branch of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Organic Rehabilitation in order to determine the primary localization of the origin of the tumor served as the material for the study. The following VENTANA primary antibodies were used in the study: rabbit monoclonal antibody CONFIRM anti-Cytokeratin 7 (SP52); mouse monoclonal antibodies CONFIRM anti-Thyroid Transcription Factor-1 (8G7G3/1).

Research results. Of the 20 samples, in 50% (10 of 20) of cases, the CK7 staining pattern characterized and differentiated lung adenocarcinoma. TTF-1 staining pattern differentiated lung adenocarcinoma in 30% (6 of 20) of 20 specimens. Conclusion. Thus, it should be noted that in our study, the CK7 marker was expressed in all cases of adenocarcinoma. Expression of TTF-1 is associated with histological types and/or differentiation of lung cancer, and TTF1 expression is noted in all adenocarcinomas and was not detected in tumor cells of squamous non-keratinizing carcinomas.
