Structural and qualitative features of ict entrepreneurship development in Ukraine

The subject of the study is current trends in the functioning of ICT entrepreneurship in Ukraine.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the structural and qualitative features of the development
of ICT entrepreneurship in Ukraine.
Research methods. The work uses the dialectical method of scientific knowledge, the method of
analysis and synthesis, the comparative method, and the method of summarizing data.
Work results. The article defines the structural and qualitative features of the development of ICT
entrepreneurship in Ukraine. As a result, the trends that developed in the national economy as a result
of its informatization were highlighted. Modern approaches to the analysis of the assessment of the
state of the ICT industry in the national economy have been singled out and analyzed.
Conclusions. The following trends in the development of ICT entrepreneurship in Ukraine
can be distinguished: 1) radically new processes are constantly appearing in the ICT industry:
smartphoneization, virtualization of reality, 3D printing, network socialization, etc.; 2) implementation
of the 3G network, real changes in the construction of the electronic government system, creation of
the cyber police institute, introduction of the latest ID passports; 3) the number of programmers and
other IT specialists is constantly growing in Ukraine; 4) the IT sector is served by about 420 thousand
jobs, and its contribution to the GDP of Ukraine is constantly increasing; 5) in recent years, the number
of startups as innovative forms of ICT entrepreneurship has been growing rapidly; 6) the equipment of
enterprises with computer equipment is increasing, the number of business networks is increasing;
7) there is a crisis in the development of the landline telephone network due to the emergence of newer, cheaper and more accessible, as well as more functional means of electronic connection and
communication.
