CETĂȚENIA COPIILOR NĂSCUȚI PE TERITORIUL REPUBLICII MOLDOVA
Description
The Republic of Moldova was ranked in the top 5 countries worldwide having the best legislation on reducing and avoiding statelessness. Enhancing the situation regarding statelessness reduction was possible after ratifying the UN Convention relating to status of stateless persons (1954) and the UN Convention on the reduction of statelessness (1961) and the approval of the amendments to the Law no. 200 from 16.07.2010 regarding the foreigners regime in the Republic of Moldova (28.12.2011), therefore a new section “Section XI The procedure of recognition of stateless persons” was included in the law due to the modifications.
