Description

This is the pre-print submitted to the journal 'Combustion and Flame'. This paper presents a low-order ad-hoc model for inherently non-linear phenomenon associated with transverse velocity excitation of a symmetric flame. This study also shows how frequency doubling due to transverse velocity excitation can cause coupling between a fundamental transverse mode and high-order transverse modes in a combustion chamber.
