BaianaSystem: Nas veias abertas da América Latina

Este trabalho consiste em uma análise do grupo BaianaSystem e sua performance, levando em conta seus modos de fazer e apresentação, em um elo específico com o público. Sua fonte criativa parte da mistura entre referências culturais indígenas e afrodiaspóricas, convocando dois conceitos que conduzem a pesquisa: a antropofagia e Exu. No primeiro momento do trabalho, é feita uma revisão do que a antropofagia significou como alegoria do pensamento cultural brasileiro, sendo retomada pelo movimento tropicalista, já com outras questões em jogo e, posteriormente, pelo grupo. Em um segundo momento, a aposta em compreender algumas das bases da cultura brasileira vindas de influências africanas e afrodiaspóricas leva a outros modos de compreensão sobre o corpo, assim como a dança e a música, elegendo Exu como uma das principais figuras que media tais influências na construção da identidade do grupo ao decorrer de sua produção até os dias atuais.

This work consists of an analysis of the group BaianaSystem and their performance, showcasing the know-how from making into presenting and considering especially its connection with the public. The group's creative source comes from cultural references that derive from the mixture of indigenous and afrodiasporic elements, bringing together two concepts that drive the research: antropophagy and Exu. In the first part of the work, a review is made of anthropology as an allegory of the Brazilian cultural thought, which was taken up by the tropicalist movement bearing a different set of goals, and was also absorbed later by the group. In a second moment, the choice of understanding some of the bases of Brazilian culture highlighting its African and afrodiasphoric roots leads to other ways of understanding the body, as well as dance and music, as Exu becomes one of the main figures that mediate such influences in the construction of the group's identity throughout its production until nowadays
