Lone Motherhood, Gendered Practices of Resistance and the Approach of Institutional Ethnography
Description
This paper focuses on how the sociological approach of Institutional Ethnography (IE) (Smith 1987, 1990, 2005) contributes to identifying the ‘research problematic’ and frame the process of accessing the fieldwork and interpreting the early findings of the research ‘Study on TRansition and Exclusion in Society of Single-Mums (STRESS-Mums)’.
