The NERC Earth Observation Data Acquisition and Analysis Service - NEODAAS - has developed a suite of ocean indicators, from key biogeochemical variables, representative of the status of the marine ecosystem. These indicators can be interrogated to inform regional analysis, add context to short-term trends and specific events, and highlight potential correlations between biogeochemical and physical variables. This report describes the time series, anomalies, and trends ocean indicators, and showcases their application in the study of phytoplankton phenology, chlorophyll anomalies in the polar regions, and chlorophyll correlation with climate indexes.
